HANDEL'S "MESSIAH."

Last night the Dunodin Choral Society held their last practice prior to the full rehearsal on Saturday next. ( Mr Wolf took some choruscs right through—of others only certain sections or phrases—soft and sustained effects were in evidence where demanded. In others bioad and louder singing was called for. The practice proved that the chorus are well up in their work, and are singing -with confidence. The demand for tickets shows that Dunedin is going to take advantage of hearing Mr and Mrs Fraser Gange in oratorio, when these concerts are given in His Majesty's Theatre on Monday and Tuesday next. The box plan opens at the Bristol Piano Company this morning.
