TEha Executive Committed of the Overseas Club, Dunedin branch, met yesterday afternoon, Mr R. S. Black presiding, to discuss arrangements for the evening to be given in honour of Viscount Jellieoe on the oocasion of his first visit 03 GovernorGeneral. .It _ was decided to" hold an informal function in the Art Gallery on November 9, so that Bis Excellency may meet as many people as possible. The function will take the form of a conversazione. A small committee was set up to act in conjunction . with the Navy League, it being felt thai as both bodies represented Imperialistic ideals, it -was only courteous to ask the Navy League to co-operate with the Overseas Club in doing honour to the Governor-General.
