FATAL MOTOR COLLISION

WANGANUT, October 22. Advice has been received that on "Wednesday morning Mrs White, wife of Mr H P. White, postmaster and manager of tho farm of Messrs Hatrick and Co. at Pipiriki with a motor accident on the Kactihi--1 ipiriki road, which terminated fatally. Mi's Whit© about 10 days ago paid a visit to Wanganui, where her mother (Mrs T. Fcrro) resides, and was on her ivuy homo from Raetihi to Pipiriki in a car, when another -was mot travelling in the opposite direction. The point at wiliicli tho cars passed fa a narrow and dangerous part of tho road, and a collision oocurrod. It is surmised that tho deceased lady, in her excitement, stood up, and the fore© of the impact burled her from tho car on to the road-way, resulting in serious injury to hor head. Mrs White wag conveyed to Mr Punch's residence at Raotihi, where an operation on the brain was performed, but, though every medical attention was rendered, the lady never rallied, and passed aiway on Wednesday morning.
