The Free State Nationalist Conference at Bloemfontein, on the motion of Mr Herfczog, moved a resolution affirming the right of the Union at any time, by = con sfcitutional means, to decide on the form of government, and to alter the existing form in any way, acknowledging the rin-ht of _ secession from Britain or to break anv existing bond between the Union and Britain, also against any closer Imperial union.—A. and N.Z.
