Lindis M'jNaugton Robertson, applied for permission to purchase section 21, block VI, Tarras district.—Declined. Robt. Kingon applied for half an aero on north sido of Dead Horso Croak for <i machinery sibo.—Area to bo sold to applicant, subject to tho approval of tho Minister. Tho undermentioned holders of small sections on Kyeburn applied for a lease in common over run 573:—Alexander Maxwell, Wm." Ed ward Strode, Patrick D. Haurahnii. Alfred Carey, and Chas. C. I.rvim\—Granted at an annual rental of £50, subject to payment for fencing. Donald M'lntosh applied for an occupation lea so over an estimated area of 31 acres between sections 69 and 147, block X, Loaning Rock district.—Granted, subject to survey. John Ross, holder of. allotment 1, Bruce settlement, applied for the board's ' recommendation to request for exemption from residence for a period of one year.—Tho board deolinod to make any recommendation. "Win. Robt. Christie, who rcoontly acquired section 14, block X, Woodland S.D., applied for exemption from residence on account of tho high cost of building • material and tilie acute shortage of carpenters.—Twelve months' exemption from residence granted. Robert Heads, lessee of section ISs, Clifton settlement, advi&cd that h<o had abandoned tho section.—Lease declared forfeited Christophor Robinson, holder on year-to-year grazing license of the reserve adjoining section 1 of 23, block VT, Maxmgatua S.D., advised that he had no farther use for the land, as h>o had sold his property at Outram.—•Lioenso cancelled. Thomas Kennett, holder on grazing license of pajrt reserve (5 acres) adjoining sections •4S and 50, block 11, Barnslaw S.D., requested cancellation of his license, as nearly j all the land had been washed away by the latest flood in the Keos Rhner.—License cancelled. Mrs Jennie L. MTiachlan applied to purchase the foe simple of section 0, block XIII, Rimu district, which she holds under o.r.p. 492.—Refused; applicant to be informed that tho required improvements must be effected within six months. M'Bonnell, section 94, block VIII, Leaning Rock district, held under 0.1. 554 The board was requested to appoint an ' arbitrator to fix the rental for a new pastoral license over sections 18, 20, 21, 22, 26, and 27, block VII, Tablo Hill S.D. —Ranger O'Neill was appointed arbitrator. The Tuapeka County Council submitted proposals for the expenditure of "thirds" accrued for the period ended July 31, 1920, amounting to £24 5a 3d.—Proposals approved and payment authorised.
