Tress Association—By *lV,lograph—Copyright. LONDON, September 22. Mr Lynch, a member of tho Limerick Comity Council and a prominent Sinn Feincr, was shot doad in a Dublin hotel. Some armed men covered the night porter at the Royal Exchange Hotel, while others went upstairs to Mr Lynch's room and killed him.. It is reported that Mr Lynch h;W acted as a Republican iudgc.—-A. and N.Z. Cable. (Received Sept. 23, at 5.5 p.m..) A porter at tho Royal Exchange Hotel in Dublin states that persons stating that tliey wcro military men d-cmanded to sco tho register. They then went to Mr Lynch's room. Later the police called fur tho body, saying that the military had instructed them, to get it. Later information states that no shots wore fired, suggesting that Mr Lyncli was either stabbed or bayoneted. Armed men ambushed a military lorry load of auxiliary police at Milltown, Malbay, killing four. Troops rushed to the scene, and in a desperate aifrav a soldier was killed. Tho number of casualties of Sinn Feiners is unknown.—A. and N.Z. Cable.

(Received Sept. 23, at 7.55 p.m.) It is officially explained that a party of military and police went to tho hotel for tho purpose of arresting Mr Lynch, who fired his revolver when they entered tho room, tho bullet striking tho- wall. One member of the party returned tho fire, and Lynch was shot through tho head.— A. and N.Z. Cable.
