.FINE DISPLAY AT Y.M CA. GYMNASIUM. The accommodation for spectators at the I.M.C.A. gymnasium was taxed to its utmost capacity last night, when a very attractive aad clover gymnastic display was given under the direction of Mr J. Y. Hanna, tho association's physical director. The walls' were decorated with gay flags, which heightened the- spectacular effect of many of the displays. Colonel D. Colquhoun, on behalf o£ the directors of the association, welcomed those present, and explained that the object of the demonstration was to show the' types of work that are being done in the various gymnastic classes carried on there. ■ .'. '■■. . Tlie programme opened with a very prettyexhibition of figure marching given by 80 girls dressed in white, surmounted by the rod truuijlo. After «, squad of junior bovs had shown their skill with the dumb-bells, Messrsi Blackmuir end Cunningham- gave an, exhibition of the Saudow d;uAb-bell system. At different .stages groups of lads smartly illustrated the use of tho ."elephant," the parallel bars, the horizontal bar, and thehorse,__ and senior members gave a verv fino exhibition of Swedish exercises. Typical games and some bouts of boxing were presented by the junior and Newsboys' Clubs and teams from Business iaoys' Clubs showed how keen and interesting a basket ball contest may bs made Club-swinging and wend exercises by the ladies' class proved very popular items. Pleasing variety was lent to the proceedings by eongs from. Miss E. Banna, and Mr E. Blackmuir, and a recitation from Mr J. Lauronscn; and the music of tho boys orchestra under Mr K.
