Regarding the telegraphed statement of the Board of Trade relative to tho issue of permits for the erection of advertising hoardings in Christchnrch, Cr J. W. Beanland, Deputy Mayor, sa : d today: "In spite of what the Board of Trade people say, I still maintain that timber suitable for building houses is being used in advertising hoardings in Christchurch, and timber we war.t badly. There is no question about it." '
