A Moscow wireless message reports that a Soviet Republic has been proclaimed in Bokhara (Central Asia), where the Red troops have occupied the principal military points. Documents havo been found, adds the wireless message, revealing British intrigues with the Afghan Government.— •Keuter. SITUATION IN GALICTA. PROTEST AGAINST POLISH OCCUPATION. . VIENNA, September 6. _ ,. 3 . a protest against the occupation of Galicia by the Poles, a fully-equipped cavalry division composed of Ga'licians and Ukrainians under General Pawlenko, who had been actively engaged in fighting the Bolshevists, crossed into Czecho-Slovakia and has been interred.—Renter. POLAND AND LITHUANIA. NEGOTIATIONS BROKEN OFF. LONDON, (September 6. It _13 reported that negotiations for frontier rearrangement and future relations between Poland and Lithuania have been broken off, owing to the outbreak of .hostilities. Each side accuses the other of crossing the frontier. Polish circles in London assert that , the Poles only occupied territories that were recognised as Polish by the Supreme Council, and they complain that Lithuania is being used as a rallying ground by tie Red armies.—A. and N.Z. Cable. CESSATION OF HOSTILITIES. . LONDON, September 6. (Received Sept. 7, at 7.30 p.m.) The Morning Post Wfersaw correspondent says that the Polish Foreign Office admits the receipt of a truculent Note from the mihtary party in Lithuania, but declares that war has not been declared, the most amicable relations being maintained with the Lithuanian Civil Government.—A and N.Z. (Received Sept. 7, at 7.30 p.m.) It is reported that hostilities between Poland and Lithuania have virtually ceased and peace negotiations are beine arranged.—A. and N.Z. Cable. POLISH CAVALRY DEFEAT GERMANS. FOUR\ HUNDRED PRISONERS TAKEN. COPENHAGEN, September 5. According to the Berlin Vossisehe Zeitung Posen correspondent, German reserve troops occupied the railway station and other buildings at Graudenz, with the object of driving out the Poles, but Polish fy took 400 of them prisoners. These will be .charged with treason. An early rising is expected from 8000 troops in Posen, where the Polish leader Dmowsky is stated to have been, plotting a coup d etat against the Moscow Government—A and N.Z. Cable.
