(Fhom Our Own Correspondents.) . OTUREHUA, September 1. lhe rainfall for tho month of August was 2.65 inches. The maximum temperature was 57 degrees on the 26t.h and 29th and the minimum temperature 8 degrees on the 15th. This is the hardest frost ex" penenced since August 10, 1918, tho thermometer having registered 2 degrees lower on that occasion. The 2nd, 3rd, and 26th were the only days on which frost was not recorded. WOODLANDS, September 1. The ramin.ll registered here for the month ended Avz-ust was 183 points. There liavo been a great number of frosts during August, and grass is scarce.
