The movement of forming this association ia Dunedin -is receiving the support it deserves, and no doubt the game generally, both for ladies and men, will benefit, very materiallv. A .comprehensive set of rules has been drawn upland approved, and tho association is to control; the appointment of referees through an efficiept oommittee, which consist of Messrs T. S. Mitphcll, W. H. Down, and S. L. Searell. An Examination Committee, consisting of Messrs T S. :MitcheU, W. H. Down, and H.-Siedeberg was appointed for the purpose of drawing up a set of . questions, by which it is intended to test, though not this season, those acting as referees in-matches, and thus tending to the improvement •f play and its conduct.
