"THE ILLUSTRIOUS PRINCE"
to be one of the most absorbing and thrilling stories ever written, "TheIllustrious Prince," the now picture to commence at the Queen's and Empire Theatres' this afternoon, from the pen of E. Phillips Oppenlieim, is utilised by Sessue Hayakawa,' the Japanese star, as a screen drama. Tho movement of the story is said to be fast throughout and the interest never to lag, while the settings and light effects set anexv standard for excellence and artistry. As Priuoc Maivo Hayakawa is reported to do some of the best acting of his brilliant screen career—in fact, his work emphasises the universally-accepted opinion that he ia without, doubt one of the most finished actors in the silent drama. Ho has mastered an individual technique all his own; while _ his productions always evidence an attention to detail that places them almost beyond criticism. Ho has surrounded himself with an eccellent oast in this picture—■ Mabel Ballin, Harry Lonsdale, Bertram Grassby. Beyerly Traverse, Edward PcD, Robert Laeler, and Toyo Eujita all portrayin (7 liieir roles acceptably, in some cases with distinction.
