(Received June 28, at 7.50 p.m.) The friends cf William M'Adoo axe assured that if nominated a,, the Democratic Presidential candidate he will-accept. On the eve of tho Convention issjies rather than men furnish the grounds of battle. The political bosses want clear-cut prohibition declarations. Mr M'Adoo is a " dry " supporter, the boom for which has taken a groat bound. Governor Cox is losing support and is trying to persuade the delegates that he does not represent the "-wets." -Vice-President Marshall is stated definitely to be a candidate.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
