Mitchell Lewis, the star of Solcct Pictures Corporation, will appear in his first picture under 'that company's direction "at tho King's Theatre to-day, commencing at the matinee. It is entitled "Code of the Yukon," and is said to be one of those vinlo Alaskan stories that fairly teem with strong interest from beginning to end. Mr Lewis will bo remembered for his masterfy characterisation of Poleon Doret in the picturisation of Rex Beach's "The Barrier." Ifc is said that in "Code of tho Yukon" he lias a role, in appealing qualities, quite similar to his first great part, and that in the part of Jean Dubois, the miner, he creates a character disTmctiv human, and one which touches the heartstring time and again. Th<> story is laid in Alaska, and tolls of the trials of "Jean Dubois, whose mine is stolen from him by a crooked gang. How he retrieves it, anil when seeking revenge for his s'ster who has been wronged, l suddenly leanns that there is a higher power than mere man's, is sure to provide engrossing entertainment. Tom Santsahi, as the heavy, heads a good supporting cast. A fine series of supporting films is promised in conjunction with this film. It includes a comedy entitled "Plain Folds," a gazette, and a new travelogue. •
