BOLIVIAN INDIAN MISSION

The;,quarterly meeting of those interested in the-'Bolivian Indian Mission was hold in the assembly hall. Y.M.C.A. rooms, last night, and was well attended. A letter was read irom Mr R. J. Borrow, telling of his safe arrival in. New Zealand ' and of his subsequentlv going on to Atistralia, where he intended to spend his furlough. After a well-earned rest he looked forward *o visiting Dunedin and holding meetings to tell of the work in Bolivia. Th/i Rev. Mr Pybns acted ae chairmarj, and gavo an interesting account of his journey to England, speaking of what ho had soon of missionary work in Jamaica and of various missionary meetings which he hid attended in London. So great had been' the interest at these_ meetinj*. .that some of tlie largest halls in London hod been crowded to the doors. One k/ent meeting, which was attended by 2000 people '» had been held to farewell 40 missionaries who were going to China in connection with' the China Inland Mission, at which Dr Stnart Holden had acted ae chairman, and had given a most impressivo charge to the outgoing missionaries. Another, largo meeting- had boon held in connection with the Wcslovan Methodist Missions to send off 300 missionaries who had been detained jn the Homeland until the war ended. The speaker had gone to another missionary meeting hold in the Central TTall.
