WINTER SHOW. Record entries have been, received for the Winter Show, which opens in Dunedin on Tuesday. Juno 1. In the cattle and aheep sections some fine exhibits will be seen: The entries in factory cheese and butter are excellent, and the keenest competition between the numerous exhibitors will' taek place. _ In the home industries classes the entries are phenomenal, constituting a great record. In honey and preserves som© fine samples will be exhibited. One of the most interesting features of the show will be the display '.of wool, of which there are 75 entries. The schools garden exhibits will also form an interesting display, while the special classes provided for invalid and wounded soldiers have attracted the- keenest competition. The entries in fruit far exceed i what could have been expected dwing to the.drought in Central Otaw. It is doubtful if the available space will provo sufficient to cope with the large dumber of applications reoeived. The following is a comparative statement of the entries for 1919 and 1920:—
