INFLUENZA AND MILD SMALLPOX. (Pen Ujhtjto Pbbss Association.) „. . WELLINGTON, May 24. Jho influenza notifications for tho Wellington health district continue to increase, for tho week ending noon to-day 114-9 cases were nolified, an increase of 351 compared with the hgures for tho previous week. Of latest notifications, 1112 were classified as mild, 2* pneumonic, and 13 severe. An increase is also reported in the number of rases of pneumonia, 23 notifications having l.tcn Received, last week, against eight for tne previous week. The District Health O/hcer emphasised" that the ratio of pneumonic cases to the mild forms of the disease remains low, so iliat the situation could bo field to be satisfactory.
