MOTOR FATALITY
A FARMER'S DEATH. ANOTHER NOT EXPECTED TO LIVE. SEVERAL OTHERS INJURED. (Peb United Press Association.) PALMERSTON N., May 20. A motor fatality occurred one mile on the Wangamii side ot Sandon nt 6.30 last night. A car, driven by Mr Warren Newth, a taxi driver, coming from Wcnganui races, crashed into a car driven by Mr A. E. Eglinton, a Sandon settler, going from Palmerston, on the open road. Both vehicles were overturned end wrecked, and Mr Eglinton sustained terrible .injuries to his head, and died shortly afterwards. Mr E. A. Penny, a farmer, who was sitting in tho front seat, had his skull fractured wid both legs broken. He is not expected to survive tho night. Mr and Mrs A'Court, who were in the back scat, escaped with a few bruises. Mr Warren Newth was rendered unconscious, but is not seriously injured. Mr Basil Faireloth is practically unhurt. Mr N. Powell received severe facial injuries, Mr J. S. M'Conkey. and Mr Kid men, bad face and scalp wounds. Mr Rendall, a rostal employee, is suifering from shock and bruises.
