(Per United Pkess Association.) WELLINGTON, May 20. Mr George Elliot, of Auckland, has been appointed chairman of the Conciliation Tribunal to consider the Railway Officers' Institute dispute. In addition to Riflemen H. V. Oroxton and L. Loveday, New Zealand will have a third representative at the Bisley rifle meeting, in the person of Rifleman W. H. West, of the Blenheim Rifle Club. At the 1919 and 1920 Dominion Rifle Association meeting.? he was runner-un for the Champion Rifle Belt. The proposal that he should be sent to Bisley emanated in Marlborough, and the necessary funds for the purpose were subscribed in that province. Rifleman West sailed by the Tofua for San Francisco to-night, and will proceed to England via the United States. OHRISTOHURCH, May 20. In the Magistrate's Court today two men —David Millin and Kencth Ncwlands— were separately charged on each of four offences arising out of raids on Chinese fruit shops on the night of April 17. Both were committed for trial on the chief offence of wilful damage, wliich was estimated at £80. The other charges are to bo dealt with summarily. Later bail was fixed in one surety of £25. Three boys were dealt with in connection with 'the raid. One was sent to Weraroa, the second was convicted and oommitted to probation, and the third case adjourned, but the boy is to be placed under supervision for three months.
