MONTECILLO CONVALESCENT HOME.
VISITED BY THE PRINCE.
Just before 1 o'olock the Prince made a visit tc> the Montecillo Convalescent Home for Soldiers. The visit was of quite an in* formal nature, and that being so the home was not decorated, the executive preferring that tho Prince should see the place in its ordinary -working state. The Prince was met on his arrival by Colonel Pickerill, who introduced him to the Rev. V. G-. B. King, who then introduced him to the other membera of the executive. Afterwards the distinguished visitor shook hands with all the patients, including several from the Woodsido pital, and tho V.A.D. workers. He then wont inside the home and said a few words to the five patients who were confined to their beds.
Coming out of the building the Prince, stood while some of the V.A.D. workera and a " Digger',' "snapped" his photograph. ' , ■ Before he left tho Prince again chatted with one or two of the patients, expressed to Colonel Pickerill his earnest hope that all the patients would booh be in their normal state of health, and congratulated the executive on their beautifully-equipped homo and the 6uperb view. Tho following members of the Red Cross Executive were present:—The Rev. V. G. Bryan King (onairman), Missee Williams (treasurer), Rattray, M'Lean, Mrs George Robert-. M<*& Graham, Messrs R. Conn, C. B. Smith. E. A. Rosevcar (treasurer), C. Speight, E. C. Hazlett, F. J. Carter, matron of Montecillo Home (Miss M'Millan), Staif! Sisters Oppenheim and Thompson, matron of Woodside Homo (Miss Dodds), Sister M'Ghie.
