INFLUENZA.
INCREASE IN AUCKLAND. (Psb United Pbess Association.) 1 AUCKLAND, May 14. There were 119 mild and 10 severe influ- ' enza cases reported for the 24 hours ended at noon yesterday, and from then till midday to-day the number shows an increase, the figures being 132 mild and nine severe. . This is over the whole of the Auckland health district. As a result of tho high totals beinjr recorded almost every day, the Auckland Health Office has advised the ! Education Board that all schools had_ better remain olos>3d, excopt in the districts of ' Covoniandel and Mercury Bay, where the 1 ailment has not shown of spreading. < Accordingly schools in these two places will ( reopen on Monday, but all others in the ( Auckland health district will remain closed s indefinitely :
