BUILT LIKE A WATCH

When all paits of any strucUirtf are from first to last designed and constructed to hp.rmonise—i.e., from outer cov<?r to mainspring—everything is in closo relationship, it :s said to bo built like a watch. No watch maker would dieam of making a watch case out of a tobacco pouch; his methods may bt- expensive ond elaborate, but in the long run they best servo his purpose, md aru really the most economical, and so it is with other businesses. Messrs James Wright and Son (Ltd.) have' just completed a handsomo structure., specially designed tp carry all the accessories required for the smooth running of a butcher's shop, sfebject to all the conditions which modern scientific knowledge of what is required demands,,for tho handling of food. Viewed from the front this newly-erected brick shop is daintily designed and a red ornament to tho neighbourhood. A walk around the outside of tho building will satisfy anyone that every provision has been made to ensure adequate lighting and ventilation, and the concrcte floors throughout tho building, together with the efficient means of hosing, show not only that overy corner of tho premises can bo -washed out thoroughly, but that the work oan be done so easily and expeditiously that there is no excuse for ihirking that necessary duty. The shop counters and walls are of marble and tessolated tiles—as readily hosed as the floors—and present an attractive appoorance, which must bo pleasing to customers, who like to realise tint before thoir meat reachr* home it has always been on "a clean plate." Suffice it to say thnt from the reeeivinc house in the rear to the distributing counters every department at Messrs .T. Wright and Son's shop in Oargill road invites inspection.—Advt.
