Pr Hamilton Rice's party have returned from the exploration of the Para River, a,,tributary of the Orinoco, Brazil.- They report-a battle with giant cannibals—ferocious savages, almost whito in colour. Dr Rico believes that it is the first timo these cannibals have met whites since 1764, when a Spanish exploring party met thorn. —A. and N.Z. Cable.
