REPATRIATION BOARD
The following applications for assistance wero dealt with at the meeting of theOtago District Repatriation Board yesterday: — Business loans: Seven applications, representing £1700, were received.; three, amounting to £650, wore approved, and three, totalling £1050, were hold over. Furniture loans: Kleven applications were received, of which seven were* approved, three held over, and one was withdrawn. One application for assistance to purchaso tools of trade was approved. Two apprentices applied to have their wages made up to £3. One applicatipn was approved, and the other was held over. One discharged soldier, unable to follow his pre-war occupation, was placed in a new trade and his wages were subsidised. Eleven applications for assistance in technical and university training were received. Ten were approved, and one was held over.
