RECRUITS WANTED. APPLICATIONS &ro invited from suitable men desirous of enrolment as Constables in the New Zealand Polico Force, which has many advantages in pay, emoluments, and pension, and offers a good and attractive career to voting men possessed of the Aquisito qualifications as regards character, physique, and intelligence. The age limits prescribed by regulations are 21 to 30 years. Candidates who • have not attained the ago of 21 years will bo accepted, provided ihey otherwise comply with tbe standard requirements or are likely to fulfil them by tho time they attain 21 years qf tge, or within a reasonable timo afterwards. The standard of education is Standard V, but in the case of candidates under 25 years of age a lower certificate will be accepted. Candidates received under the minimum sire limit will bo given a course of physical training and educational instruction to bring them up to the standards. The scale of pay_ for constables is £4 4s per week on appointment, rising by increments b> £5 Is 6d per week. A house allowance of 15s per week is also paid to married men not provided with free quarters. Free uniform is also provided.
