During the half-year ended March 18 tho Ajax i\orth mine at Daylesford crushed 6353 toils for 20240z at a total cost per ton of 18s 7.4 d. With tho -aid of £210 brought forward from the previous term, the company was able to pay a. dividend of 6d per share, amounting to £875, and end the half-year with a credit balance of £373. During tho ensuing term prospecting will bo pushed on at No. 7 and No. 8 levels, and if time and labour are a-vailable attention will also be given to No. 6 and No. 9 ievels. The return for 130 hours' work on the Rising- Sun is 530z 3d\vt.
