Manson and Guy, both of whom showed good form, made a threo-set match of it with Bray and Sinclair, and Guy, in particular, gives promile of 'better' things in tho future. Miss Pattison, playing in tho Ladies' Champion Singles, maintained tho favourable impression she liad already created by defeating Miss 'lUraer in two tots out of three, after an evenly contested and very attractive game. Misa Hislop beat M.ss Wilson, of Winton, in two closely cantested sets, in which the visiting player showed much promise. The third round of the Ladies' Handicap Singles has been almost completed, and some excellent games should b 0 witnessed between the players who still remain in this ovent, notably that between Miss Pattison and Miss M'Laren, who now have to meet each other. The Mixed Doubles provided many interesting games, and it was pleasant to see Miss Camp'bell, the champion of many Easter tournaments, again woilding her racquet with all her former effectiveness. In partnership with Harraway, Miss Campbell won her first gamo fairly eaxiiy. In the third round of the Men'a Handicap Doublo a Black and Couston went down before a much younger pair in tlio persons of Wilkie and -Lemon, but the older players, although defeated, were by no means outclassed, and many of their shots were warmly applauded. A considctublo nutnber of interesting games have still to be played in this event. Hie Men's Handicap Singles, A and B Grade, are well 'advanced, and should bo oompleted on Monday.
