The engineer reported that the works at Wingatui were progressing satisfactorily, two of the contracts being finished.—Received. A letter was received from -an owner suggesting that the two-year-old classic race at the spring meeting be diefcrred until the Christmas meeting.—Referred to the Programme Committee. F* Connell was appointed racecourse detective for the June meeting. It wag decided that complimentary tickets in future will not admit to the members' stand, and that admittance ticke'ts to the stand enclosure b© sold in town a day or two before the races. It was decided that the Works Committee visit the course on Saturday next. Fourteen new members were elected.
