EVERYBODY'S THEATRE
Madge Evans, tlio clever child actress, has a congenial part to p.ay in "Tho Love .Net," stiown lor the iirst time at Everybody's Theatre last iiig-ht. She is just a natural child, with an evident desire to bo a boy and to behave like one, and her grandfather allows her to devoiop a loving character a'ong natural lines. Evil days overtake the grandfather, who finds his way to tho poorhouse, while the girl is adopted by well-to-do people, who try ineffectually to wean her from her love tor her grandfather and) to suppress her affection for former aaEoeiates. As a aid* issue there is a wealthy retired sea captain, who tests his nephew by coming to him as a pauper and finds him wanting, but a former acquaintance of the sea restores his faith'in human nature, and incidentally benefits himself very materially. But tho grandfather, dreading Reparation from his grandchild, goes for a last cruise in his yawl, which' he scuttles, not knowing that sho is on board, also. The pair, however, arc rescued l just in tho nick of time by the wealthy sea captain, who is cruising in his yacht, and their reunion foreshadows happy times ahead. Tho drama is cleverly acted, and the filming leaves nothing to bo desired. A Gnumont Gazette and another chapter of "The Midnight Raider ,, are tho supports.
