The steamer Roggeveen, recently from Now Caledonia, Has been . quarantined ■ owing to an outbreak of influenza aboard. A cable f rom Noumea states that one ' of the steamer's patients landed there has developed smallpox, and others have got influenza. Several of the > influenzal patients have died. The victims were coolies.
