(Received Nov. 7, at 8.10 p.m.) Alexandria telegrams indicate the increasing gravity of the Egyptian situation. Sir Valentine Chirol, writing in The Times, says the greatest tension exists. Lord Milner'a contemplated mission is too late to act as a pacifying influence, and might be the signal for >a graver political crisis than that of any "previous time. The Times blames the Government for deplorable laxness in dealing with the situation. —Times.
