In the House of Commons Mr Kenworthy asked the cost' of Lord Jellicoe's tour, and whether a battle-cruiser was •necessary. > Mr Long said tho New Zealand's tour cost £89,225 more than if she remained in homo iwaters in full commission. It was absolutely of first importance that the Government's representative, who was trying to lay the foundation of a real Imperial Navy, should mako his tour in such, a vessel.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
