Mr I'laiichard points out that, though it is yet too curly to say anything very definito about this development below tho bottom level, nro- ■ gress in tho sinking- of tho winze, which is <l:rectly beneath No. 16 rise, will bo watched with interest by shareholders. Ho states that tho winze in which the vein is being followed down is sft wide, and that neither the footwall ncr tho hongingwall is exposed in tho working. This, together with the average value of tho or© according to the figures quoted—which represent assays taken across tho whole width of tho lode, —is looked xipon as decidedly encouraging.
