KUROW NOTES
(From Ode Own Cobbespondent.) KUROW, September 12. Although, we have experienced a cold snap lately, we are having an early spring. The weather has cleared again, arid there is already a green tinge over tho fields. Lambs are beginning to apr>ear in ,'argo, numbers, and so far there have been very littlo mortality. Some oats liavo to b? sown yet, but most of the crop in this" district is sown in tho autumn. Last week several men just back from tho war wero entertained in Munro's Ilall. Those welcomed wero Lieutenant A. Munro, Corporal L. Shirres, Privates F. Stewart, J. Mathieson. A. Rattray, C. Hubbard, J. Fraser, and W. Lin wood. Lieutenant Munro, in a few appropriate remarks, responded on behalf of the guests of tho evening. Quite a number of farms and runs in this district havo chansred hands lately, xuost of them at such a high figure that the price of produce will rcqujro to keep up to enable tile purchasers to make a decent living.
