TO THE EDITO3. Sib,—l was very pleased to read Mr F \Y. Mitchell's reply to " Citizen," and as he speaks with authority his statement niav be taken as conc.usive. It also confirms what I know of my own knov.ledec—viz., that employers as a body and individually aro acting patriotically in ' regard to the consideration meted out to returned men and particularly ex-employees desirous of returning to civil Hie. Personally, I think it a great pity that irresponsible persons, by Epeech o.- writing, should be allowed to disturb present relationship*. Investigation will, I am sure, reveal ;vn uliorio;- motive in suoh eases, and a salutary examnlo in one or t'.vo instances would poesibly act as an effective deterrent. —I am, etc.,*
