<i> (From Oub Own Coseespoitdent.) PALMERSTON, September 9. Tho weather at last seems to have takes up, and we have had two or three tine days. A spell of warm weather is badly needed, aa all growth is at a standstill as the result of the recent cold snap. Last Wednesday evening the Mayor and Ma-orees (II r and Mrs E H Clark) gave an evening in the Town Hall to V.A.D. and Rsd Cross workers. There was a large attendance*, and after some rounds of progressive, euchre, a few hours' dancing was ia» dulged in.
