LECTURE AT UNIVERSITY
" Town Planning: Its Purpose and Meaning," is the title of a leoturo to' be given on Wednesday evening by Mr E. Anscombe, architect. The lecture, which is one of the so l ies arranged by the Empire Seme© League, will be delivered in the upper Oliver Class ttoom at the University. There are many problems awaiting solution just now, but it can safely be said that none is more important or more urgent fhnn that of improved housing and living conditions for the people. It is a subject which is arousing widespread interest, and no doubt there will bo a large audience to hear from an expert the latest ideas and developments in regard to the "city beautiful."
