The notes in circulation total £79,501,000; public deposits, £23,397, 000 ; other deposits, £95,219,000) Government securities, £26,418,000; other securities, £83,015,000. Short loans are discounted at 3A per cent.

War loans are quoted at £86 10s and £94 2s 6d.

P. and 0. Shares, £555. Consols, £51 12s 6d ; war loans, £86 10s and £94 2s 6d.

The wheat market is quiet at revised rates. Australian parcels, untreated, sold at 61s, passage 635, ex store. Flour is in fair demand. Small allocations of imported sold at 46s 3d. Oats, beans, and peas are firm, and prices are unchanged. Sugar is unchanged.—A. and N.Z. Cable.
