DUNEDIN COMPETITIONS SOCIETY.
The above society's annual festival win commence on September 24. Intending competitors are advised that entries will close to-day, and now that the war is over it is hoped that all old competitors will rally round and help to make this year'a festival a most successful one. Mr W. L. Paine, of Melbourne, has been appointed Judge of the elocution section, and Mr Victor Gahvay, of Brisbane, who is coming to Dunedin as organist for the First Church, will ji;dge the instrumental and vocal sections, and Slignor Squarisc will judge the fife and drum band contest. Present indications point to a very satisfactory f.ntry, and the committee has decided to hold portions of the competitions in His Majesty's Theatre. The dancing section promises to be a most popularone, and already a large number of entries have been received for this section.
