Mdvjilo .--ot his field away in fine style. Passing the. stand for the lust tune ui-Kenzie (2<X)yds) and M'Uroy (loOyda) wero leading, 4 vith Watson (75yds) coming through tlie field fast. The backmackers also were close up. Going down the back stretch lor the last timo the pace ■was a. cracker, <md Henderson (105 yds) entered the straight with a fan- lead: The run home was very exciting, as Kennedy (95yds) was catching the leader fast, Lister (40yds , and-Conneiiey (150 yds) .being also handy with the remainder of the field close up' ±hero,was a hard struggle in the last 20 yards between Henderson and Kennedy the former just winning- by inches, with Lister close up third. The Caversjham Harriets held their weekly run from the Port Chalmers School. Captain Crimp led the pack up the hill from - the school, and passing the cairn the trail iod over the hills for a considerable distance, then back to tho school via the road In , the fast run J. Burke ran well and came • homo first. The members wore afterwards y entertained in the schooLhouso by Mrs Facer, where a very enjoyable timo was spent. _ Tho St. Kilda Harriers held their two-mile ' handicap race at Forbury Park on Saturday afternoon, the track being in splendid order. Eleven competitors faced tho starter (Mr Armitage). Perry, who ran a capital race won easily. Result:—W. Perry (40sec) 1 W. Leoffler (40sec) 2, II Eccles (65sec) 3 Time, lOmin 24sec. Tho Pacific Harrier and Amateur Athletic Club held their one-mile junior handicap race at Forbury Park on Saturday afternoon. Sevon competitors faced tho starter, and, tho track being in excellent order, a good race resulted. The field kept well together. A. I ■ Tirom3 leading until the home straight was ', reached. In a close finish A. E. Gray . (scratch) beat J. Ritchie (feco), with A. Timms (18sec) third). Time, smin 12sec. Tho Anglican Harriers had a largo attend- ( anco for the run from All Saints' Church on Saturday afternoon. Tho trail led round by the book of tho Gardens, through Opoho, I and up the ride of Signal Hill by tho rifle range, through thick manuka scrub. After reaching tho trig station on Signal Hill tho 1 trail (orned south-west and came out on the Signal Hill road, which was followed to the Opoho road, thence down to the Gardens. , In the ran homo for tho points competition ■ Scobl-o was first and Macauloy second.
