MINING.
Although the Mount Morgan Gold Mining Company's output of copper since the middle of October last, amounting to 34C0 tons, remains unsold, tho directors consider it advisable to maintain productive operations (says the Argus).- They point out however, m a circular, to shareholders, that financial conditions may later involve reconsideration of this policy. In the meantime, and with a view to a reasonable continuance of such policy, it will be necessary for the board to defer the declaration of any dividends. The directors state that they find difficulty m expressing a definite view with regard to the immediate prospect of an alteration in tho position There has been, a heavy curtailment of production in America, but the expected industrial demand is still absent. DREDGING RETURNS. The Rising Sun dredge reports a return of 250z 14dwt for 132 hours' dredgins
