(Received June 21, at 1.5 a.m.) An ex-soldier named James Ryan, living at Uiertsey, was chafed with attempting to murder Private Algernon Worger, of the Otago Regiment, while the latter was in hospital at Oatlands Park, having lost a ./PS- Worger, who appeared in court with his neck bandaged, gave evidence that Ryan attacked him with a table Kiiito. Ryan, when arrested, said that Worger stole his wife and four babies, and only Worger was aware of his wife's whereabouts. The hearing was adjourned. —A. and jVZ. Cable.
