— Five or six years ago a Qodstono (Surrey) lady lost her wedding' ring while she was feeding 3 calf. She has now recovered it in r, singular way. It was thought the animal had swallowed it, and as it could not be found the calf beeame known as "the golden cow." Recently the cow was purchased and killed by an Orted butcher, who, being told of the lost ring made a search, and found it embedded in' an internal organ. It has been- restored to its owner.
