The Rosamond arrived at Timaru at 2 ajru/dn Monday, and left at 9 p.m.' tho same day for Lyttelton, Gisbarne, and Napier. She will Bail thence for Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, and Bluff. The Waixmanno arrived. in the stream at Lyttelton from Auckland at 9 p.m. on Monday, and was berthed yesterday morning. At the Canterbury port the vessel will load for the rotuxn trip to Auckland. The Poherua left Westport at 6 pan, on Monday for Lyttelton, from which port she ■ will sail for Wellington and Nelson. The Kahika. left Westport at 7 a.m. yesterday for Kaipaia, Onehunga, and New Plymouth. There waa a moderate swell on the bar at Westport yesterday. Of a© 137 oontracts for standard ships of /000 tons deadweight and upwards which Lord Inchcape recently took over from the Government, 60 wore cancelled by the builders under the option which was granted them, and which expired ou February 5.
