Miss Andrews (general secretary) reported that, in connection with the finance campaign, "at homes" had been given by Mrs G. R. Hercus, Mrs H. H..Driver, Mrs Jas. Barr, Mrs Lindo Ferguson, Mrs Cox, and- - 1 Mrs -• W. ■' J. Robinson. Collecting had started, and looked "\rery promising, much sympathy beinir found with the .aims and needs of the association. There- was an ■urgent need for more collectors to overtake t the task of raising- the amount needed in as ' ' short a time as. possible. There seemed to bo some misconception as to the objects of tho association, but'a little explanation ' usuaUy put .this straight. The Y.W.C.A. coul-JI not alter economic conditions, and was , in ,existence to.mept definite needs as they arose. The housing problem was the most- urgent at the present time.
