THE WINTER SHOW.

Excellent entries have been, received for the Winter Show, which will be opened in Dunedin on Tuesday, June 3. In the cattle and sheop sections some fine exhibits will be seen. The entries in factory cheese are good, considering tho adverse spring weather experienced. In home industries the entries nre good, and competition should be evenly distributed in the respeotive classes. In honey and preserves some fine samples are expected. The entries in fruit are very good, and keen competition should result This section will be one of the most attractive in the show. The exhibits of grain and seeds will be presented in more attractive form than in the past, and the white bags containing them will be set up to present a neat appearance. One of the most interesting features of the show will bo the display of -wool, of which there are 71 entries. The wool is being , classified according to the Bradford counts, and. will be judged by the Government expert valuers. The roota entered will be good, though the cold, wet weather at tho beginning of the year has limited the numof entries. The schools' garden exhibits will also form an interesting feature of the show. The special classes added this j ear for the first time for invalid and wounded soldiers have attracted 64 entries, and very great interest is certain to bo taken in. the splendid workmanship of our returned wounded men.
