The report also atitioipates a bold movement in tho reclamation of extensive foreshore flats.
■ . AUCKLAND, May 21. lwo conspicuous objects were sighted— one about 40 miles west of Cape Egmont the other south of the Hole in tho Wall at Mercury Bay. The former is supposed to be a buoy adrift. Shipping is warned pending investigation.

Tho iurv returned a verdict of not guilty CHRISTCHURCH, May 21 Before the Conciliation Council the parties foiled to agree as to wages and hours in the retail hardware employees' dispute. A settlement is dependent on the conditions accepted at a conference next Friday.
