VISIT TO OTAGO.
The Defence Ollico umls &dvki£>d yesterday that Sir Job. ,A I ten (-Minister of Defence] will visit Invercargill on Friday nest, where he will be present at tho ceremony of opening the oonvalesoont home for soldiers. Immediately aiter this function he «rill present medald to tho following:— Corporal ii. JEI. Horne (Morton Mains), Military Modal; Mrs Maudsley lEdendaie), mother of tho late Bombardier D. W. Maudsley, Military Medal j Private C d! Bonifaco (Otara), Military Modal. On Saturday tho Minister will proceed to Gore by motor,-arriving about midday. About 2 i).m. he will present medals to the following Second Lieutenant F. M'Donald (Pukerau), Meritorious Service Medal; Mrs J. Kay (Balfour), mother of the late Corporal S. K. Kay, Military Medal; Mrs C. Jopp (Gore), mother of tho late Corporal J. A. Jopp, Military Medal. , Sir James Allen will arrive at Kaitangata about 5.30 p.m. on Saturday, and will there present the Military Medal to Prxv&io W. A. M'Millan. He will arrive at Milton about 8 p.m., where he will present the Distinguished Condnct Medal to Rifleman J. L>. Keogh. At each presentation ceremony tho local troops will parade.
