The New Zealand Rugby League team who are to tour Australia are due to sail for Sydney from Auckland to-dav week It is expected that the first mateh to be Played will be against New South Wales at Sydney on June 7. The selectors— Messrs W. S. Brice (Wellington), W. Wyny*?! (Auckland), D. Powell (Auckland), S? (Canterbury)—have chosen the following players to take part in the tour:— i-i " Mitchell (Canterbury), P. M Carthy (Hawke's Bay), W. Davidson, G. Davidson, K. Ifwereon, A. Matthews, d Stewart, W. Walsh, W. Cloke (Auckland), C. Laing (Taranaki), W. Wilson and G. Bradley (Wellington). Forwards .—J. Rukutai, W. Haddqn, S. Walters, A. Waddell, A. Somers, J. Clark (Auckland) H. Tancred and J. Levein, of Auckland, have been appointed managers of the team, which will be absent in Australia for probably Wo months. Members of the team will assemble in Auckland to-morrow A trial game against Auckland will be played next Saturday.
