J. he government scheme was strongly criticised, the president {Mr R. U o vd Ws) stating that there -were 400 returned soldiers m this part of the country, but not one .bad settled on the land. HAMILTON, May 20. /Ih© Waikato Returned Soldiers' Association passed a resolution thai prior to the Government purchasing land for subdivision for soldiers it Acrid obtain the approval of the Returned Soldiers' Association, which will obtain outside expert advice whether the land is suitable. It was also resolved to endeavour at tho conference to induce the Government to grant retrospective mufti allowance.
